Position Description

  • Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application systems. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

  • Familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts.

  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Performs a variety of tasks.

  • ypically reports to a project leader or manager.


  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

  • Providing Fleet customer helpdesk support to the Navy OIS user community regarding questions or issues encountered while using OIS Retail applications.

  • The support covers both classified and unclassified systems supporting ordnance asset management and accountability. Additionally, may be asked to assist with ammunition accounting and/or hardware issues.

  • Since Fleet customers may be located around the world, work may require after hours communications with Fleet customers.

  • A Bachelor's degree is desired with 2-4 years.

  • Customer will accept high school diploma with 7-10 years of specific OIS experience.

  • CompTIA A+ CE is required, or any other IAT Level 1 8570.01-M Baseline requirement.

  • Secret Security Clearance is required.
