AECOM is seeking a Financial Budget Analyst to support contracts in our CTCI (Counter Threat Capability Integration) Business Area. Position is responsible for financial analysis/budgeting/reporting, long range planning, DSO, and EBITA. Must be capable of forecasting cost information/cost issues that need to be addressed with Program Managers and other Management, as required. Must support month end close, in association with their responsibility to include reconciliation of projects review and analysis of monthly financial data. Must be a decisive multi-tasker who can track all levels of financial data. Be an excellent communicator and highly detailed in data review. Works closely with other financial analysts, project management and contracts personnel to manage contract financial performance. Additional duties include reconciling accounts receivable, compiling monthly financial progress reports, and supporting audit data calls. Position requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities, schedules and budgets.Essential Responsibilities:
Must be familiar with financial management, budgeting, project control, financial reporting and basic contract administration in a Government services contract environment
Ensure program costs are collected correctly by maintaining active charge numbers, monitoring actual charges, and processing transfers when appropriate.
Measure performance against established budgets and analyze variances.
Maintain Project Tracking Spreadsheets and related documentation.
Monitor funding status providing reliable and timely notification of funding status with line item detail.
Prepare financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRL) for programs.
Ensure contractual requirements are met and Customer financial deliverables are accurate and on time.
Review and approve invoices for submission to customer. Monitor billing status and unbilled issues, work to resolve issues in a timely manner to manage DSO.
Carefully monitor program revenue and profit recognition to minimize risk to the entire organization. Analyze revenue and profit risks and opportunities on an ongoing basis.
Perform financial duties such as; preparing month end Accruals, assessing risks, reviewing labor and costs, understand rates and application to the financials, establishing and managing project set ups and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Ability to work independently.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Must work well in a team environment, collaborating with others to accomplish company objectives. Position may require travel.
BS degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field and 7 year of job-related experience or equivalent.
Good written and verbal communication skills; excellent knowledge of Excel; excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills; and ability to perform detail-oriented work in a fast-paced environment are required.
Positive, problem-solving attitude is a must.
Candidates must be able to multitask, work independently and effectively manage time; to recognize and research issues and make recommendations/ decisions based on that research; and to work accurately under firm and quick-turn-around deadlines.
Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance
Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Cognos a plus
Experience with government contracting a plus
